While doing the assignment, I realized that over half of my daily life is usually taken up by the internet. A lot of my time was either on my phone with social media apps, on my computer doing school work, or watching movies and tv episodes. Funnily enough, this was probably the best week to see what a maximum amount of hours I pull when I have projects to work on. The least surprising information to me was that no time was spent with print media and it’s definitely gone out of style for my generation when everything is just thrown in your face and you don’t have to buy it or search too hard.
Much time was spent on my phone, if we completely ignore the movie marathon I had during day three. Honestly with the results for the social media I had consumed, I now know that I should set some limits on myself and go outside more. Even when I had left the house, I knew that there was definitely an overlap with my outside time and my cellphone time which doesn’t add or detract from me going outside. It just goes to show how plugged in we always are. My question is: can we even avoid internet usage anymore?
